To This Moment.
The taste of salt lingers on my lips,
filling the air. Embracing me.
The sun is dancing
on the translucent water,
like a ballerina;
kissing my skin.
Warm to the touch. Leaving a moist residue,
on my bronzed shoulders.
I can hear the breeze whispering along with the
waves
as they graze the shore. Teasing.
Unsure if they should touch. Timid, almost.
The white sand moulds like clay, as I dig
my foot beneath, feeling every grain glide
between my toes. Keeping me in place,
holding me down.
