Fairyloot Unboxing: January Mystery & Mischief

After rejoining the Bookstagram community a few months ago, I heard of this UK based bookish box doing the rounds on people's accounts. Once a theme came up that appealed to me, I took the plunge and ordered a single purchase box and eagerly awaited by my front door for the Hermes guy to deliver it. When I opened it with my boyfriend (who wanted me to film an unboxing - not likely!) I was amazed at all the items in the box. Let's take a look together!

  • Harry Potter or Game of Thrones Mystery Mini Pop from Funko
  • Come Back Yesterday Candle by Meraki Candles (Exclusive)
  • Alice in Wonderland Bookmark by Read at Midnight (Exclusive)
  • The Night Circus Pillow Cover by Risa Rodil (Exclusive)
  • How To Think Like Sherlock hardback book by Daniel Smith
  • Rose Necklace by Oh Panda Eyes (Exclusive)
  • Bonus items: Passenger notebook & Jackaby free chapter download
  • Caraval by Stephenie Garber (with a mystery design beneath the jacket)
  • Signed bookplate, bookmark, postcard & a letter from the author
  • FairyScoop & author interview (Exclusive)

Now if you can't see from the picture, this was an incredible box. Everyone said how it was the best one yet, so I'm glad I managed to snag one because I'd been anticipating Caraval by Stephenie Garber, and everything else on top of that was a bonus! My favourite items were the book (I got the dress on my mystery cover), the mini Funko Pop (I got a Harry Potter Voldepop character), and the pillow case. It's double sided and incredible quality! The candle smells like chocolate berries and I'm usually not a fan of sweet scents, but this was gorgeous burning as I read Caraval.

This may have been my first box, but it certainly isn't my last! Fairyloot retails for £26, excluding tax and shipping (so £32.95 in total) which is so much cheaper than getting a US based subscription box because of shipping and import tax - ouch! If you're thinking thirty pounds is a lot of money to part with every month for a bookish box, it's so totally worth your money and has tracked delivery so you can follow your box as it gets delivered to your door. They offer an on-going monthly, three or six monthly subscription, and a single purchase which is what I did - one off payment to try it out!
