Fairyloot Unboxing: March Myths & Monsters
If I've ever been giddy for mail (book mail nevertheless!), it's been now. When Fairyloot announced they were doing a purple one year anniversary celebratory box, I just knew I had to have one, regardless of the theme. Then I realised which book would be inside the box from the box hints and grabbed one as soon as they became available. This is my most anticipated book release of the year (after the wonderful January release of Caraval by Stephenie Garber), with the limited first print gorgeousness of the UK edition so I cancelled my pre-order and sat by my front door waiting. Let's take a look together!
- Nephilim Candle by Geeky Clean (Exclusive)
- Mermaid Pocket Mirror by The Book Otter (Exclusive)
- Dragon and Pheonix Magnetic Bookmarks by Bontismo (Exclusive)
- Unicorn Fairy Lights by Mustard
- Silver Dragon Scale Scarf by GivArt (Exclusive)
- Bonus items: Fallen film advertisement
- Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor (with blue sprayed pages, an illustration from the author & a printed author signature)
- Signed bookplate, postcard & a letter from the author
- FairyScoop & author interview (Exclusive)
Wow-ee, look at all that, I'm not sure I know quite where to start. I think this is possibly my favourite box I've received from Fairyloot. Let's take a minute to bask in the awe of that purple box... and then let's take a minute to appreciate the purple lettering on the fairy story inside the box. The attention to detail makes me so happy and shows you just how much effort Anissa, Michael and all the Fairyloot team put into their boxes. Without a shadow of doubt, my favourite item from this entire box was the book. Since reading the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy, I've been in awe at Laini Taylor's writing so when I found out she was releasing another book, I just had to get my hands on it. A unique item I've never seen in a bookish box before is the fairy lights, a great addition that I loved because you can never have enough! Another great addition and item I've never seen in a bookish box before is the scarf with a gorgeous grey dragon egg scale print on it which is so light and versatile that you can essentially wear it all year round. I just loved everything in this box, and you can never have enough bookmarks or candles.
Congratulations to the entire Fairyloot team, but especially to Anissa and Michael on their one year anniversary. As experiences go, your boxes just keep getting better and better, so I can't wait to see what you've got in store for us in the future!
